Portfolio hires former Teletoon exec

Canadian producer and distributor Portfolio Entertainment has hired Trent Locke as chief operating officer.

Locke was previously vice president, business operations, for Canadian kids channel Teletoon.

At Portfolio he will work across strategy and business development as well as finance and the day to day running of the company.

He will report to co-CEOs Lisa Olfman and Joy Rosen. “Trent has a proven track record for success,” said Rosen. “His deep understanding of the broadcast and digital landscape is invaluable as we look to the future as content producers,” added Lisa Olfman.

Portfolio’s properties include kids series Doki and The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That.
