BT TV adds Discovery channels

BT has added HD channels Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, British Eurosport and British Eurosport 2 to its YouView offering, taking the number of HD channels offered by BT TV to 26.

The new HD channels will be available as part of BT’s HD Extra “bolt on” offering, available to subscribers for £3 a month. This includes HD versions of most of BT’s Entertainment pack channels plus HD versions of BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN.

BT has also added Investigation Discovery to its Entertainment pack, the basic TV offering with 20 pay TV channels available for £7 a month. The package already includes Discovery Channel.

Alex Green, director of TV for BT, said: “Our new HD line-up offers viewers even more of their favourite channels in fantastic HD quality. This is just the latest in a series of new content deals we are offering on BT TV.”
