Imira hires Bones for sales role
Spanish animation producer and distributor Imira Entertainment has hired former Nickelodeon exec Giles Bones to become its international sales and marketing manager.
Bones will in part fill the duties of former head of distribution Christophe Goldberger, who left the company to launch his own distribution venture, as TBI revealed last year.
Bones will be responsible for worldwide TV and digital sales of Imira Entertainment’s original and third-party programming catalogue. He will also manage global marketing.
Imira sells more than 3,000 hours of kids TV programming, including originals Lucky Fred, Sandra, the Fairytale Detective and Lola & Virginia.
Prior to Imira, Bones has worked at Nickelodeon, Paramount Comedy, Ilion Animation Studios, Prisa Group’s Sogepaq, Eurojuego and Lolafilms.
He’ll report to Sergi Reitg, Imira’s CEO, who said: “The breadth of his experience means he is ideally equipped to manage sales of our diverse catalogue in the full spectrum of markets. He joins a dedicated and passionate team, and we are confident that Imira Entertainment will continue to go from strength to strength in the coming year.”
