Sky Vision forms bond with Ugly Brother
UK-based Sky Vision has signed a development deal with LA production house Ugly Brother Studios.
The deal will see Ugly Brother develop and produce reality and factual entertainment series for the US and international markets with Sky Vision, which will then sell them.
The production and distribution deal represents the first of its kind for Sky Vision, the company noted.
Ugly Brother was founded last year by twin brothers Mike and Tim Duffy and has since produced House of Food for cable channel MTV and has a three-series development deal with another Viacom net, Spike TV.
Mike Duffy was previously executive VP at T Group Productions, managing director for branded content at Electus and EVP and head of development at Zodiak USA. Tim Duffy was most recently senior VP, original series at Spike.
Jane Millichip, managing director at Sky Vision, said: “This deal gives both parties the opportunity to create exciting and commercially relevant programming on an international scale. Our aim is to deliver the very best in programming and formats developed in conjunction with Ugly Brother for international broadcasters.”
