Lady Gaga to duet with Kermit the Frog on ABC, Channel 5

A 90-minute Thanksgiving special for US broadcaster ABC feature singer Lady Gaga dueting with Kermit the Frog has been acquired by UK terrestrial Channel 5.

The singer will sing holiday favourites with The Muppets in Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular, which will also feature performances by Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and RuPaul’s Drag Race star RuPaul.

The show will broadcast on ABC on Thanksgiving night (November 28) and on Channel 5, whose head of acquisitions Katie Keenan bought it from distributor Disney Media Distribution.

Gaga will also perform songs from her latest album, ARTPOP, and actress Kristen Bell will make an appearance.

Sunset Lane Productions is producing in association with ABC-backed Lincoln Square Productions. Salli Frattini is executive producer and Gregg Gelfand is director.
