Miramax grabs sales rights to From Dusk Till Dawn adaptation
US studio Miramax has acquired international sales rights to the serialised TV remake of director Robert Rodriguez’s cult feature film From Dusk Till Dawn.
The 10-part supernatural-themed series yesterday went into production in Texas ahead of a debut on Rodriguez’s cable channel, El Rey Network, which is set for launch in the US next month.
Miramax, which produced the original film, is now attached to distribute in all territories excluding Canada, China, India and the UK.
Debuting in Q1 next year, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series will be the first scripted series on the network and is based on the 1996 movie Rodriguez created with Quentin Tarantino.
El Rey Network produces From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series in conjunction with John Fogelman’s FactoryMade Ventures.
