TV Land buys Ben Silverman comedy
US cable channel TV Land has ordered a half-hour workplace comedy from Ben Silverman’s Electus and writer Jon Sherman.
The currently untitled show revolves around a 30-something woman as she navigates through the executive ranks among her old fashioned male colleagues and her younger male assistant.
Silverman will executive produce, along with Sherman (Frasier) and Jimmy Fox.
Keith Cox, executive VP, development and original programming for TV Land said: “Jon’s contemporary take on a workplace comedy is a universal concept that we are really excited to explore. With him and the Electus team at the helm, we can’t wait to see the uncomfortable situations the characters will face and what comedic boundaries they will push.”
