News brief: Nick UK makes Digby fly

Nickelodeon UK is getting a new animated series from Blue-Zoo Animation titled Digby Dragon.

Set in an enchanted wood, the 26x30mins show follows a young dragon learning to fly.  It will broadcast on Nick Jr.

Aardman has acquired distribution rights and is launching the show at MIPCOM this week..

Blue-Zoo, which is behind Olive the Ostrich and Alphablocks, is producing the series from its UK base, and S4C has acquired Welsh broadcast rights.
