Shine America hands Neal new unscripted post
Reality TV producer Adam Neal has taken the role of VP, unscripted development at Shine Group’s growing US arm.
Neal is already at Shine America as executive director, unscripted development, and has now been upped to the VP post.
Neal is currently working on shows including Syfy’s Covert Kitchens and National Geographic’s Going Wild. He joined Shine America, which produces original shows such as The Biggest Loser and The Face and Shine formats including MasterChef and Minute to Win It, last year.
In the new role, he will develop series for both broadcast networks and cable channels.
Previously, Neal has worked on projects for MTV, Spike, History and truTV and held posts at Hearst Entertainment and Fox Television Studios.
“Adam is a truly talented development executive with a great deal of experience and a strong ability to develop fresh and innovative projects,” said Chris Culvenor, senior VP, unscripted development, Shine America. “He’s played a huge role in the growth of our unscripted business and will continue to do so as our slate expands.”
