Man V. Food producer Sharp expands into UK

Sharp Entertainment, the US producer behind Man V. Food, has tapped Amelia Pulsford to head a new London-based company unit.

The Core Media Group-owned company is expanding into Europe for the first time with the creation of Sharp UK.

Pulsford, who has been with Sharp in the US for three years, will be director of content, reporting into Sharp CEO Matt Sharp. She will work closely with Core’s UK-based international team, which is lead by former ITV television controller Simon Shaps.

“Having worked with us for three years and across a wide range of our key shows, Amelia has the experience and is the perfect person to translate the Sharp brand to the UK,” said CEO Sharp.

Sharp Entertainment’s shows include the popular food challenge series Man V. Food, Extreme Couponing and Doomsday Preppers, along with Call of the Wildman, Property Wars and Fish Tank Kings.
