Viacom-owned cable channel VH1 has greenlit a second season of its scripted drama Hit the Floor.
The mystery drama is set in follows a girl that joins a raucous all-girls basketball team. VH1 claims the show is the highest rating new scripted cable series among adults 18-49.
The series – which comes from James LaRosa, Maggie Malina, Bryan Johnson and The Film Syndicate – also represents VH1’s second scripted series after the one-hour series Single Ladies.
