ABC Commercial launches kids pitching competition
ABC Commercial, the distribution arm of the Australian public broadcaster, is launching a new pitching competition for kids producers and writers.
The pitching contest will happen at the Generation Next Kids Conference, which is taking place in Melbourne, Australia, later this month.
It is being organised by film and TV training group Open Channel, which has teamed with ABC Commercial to offer an A$2,000 prize to the winner of the pitching event. As well as the cash for developing the best idea, the winner will be get time with an industry mentor.
Natalie Lawley, manager, ABC Content Sales said: “The pitching competition is an opportunity for emerging practitioners to really show us what they can do. I am looking forward to seeing some really fresh and creative concepts originate from this project.”
