UKTV’s Watch takes Oz ob doc series
UKTV-owned channel Watch has acquired four seasons of Screentime-produced ob doc series about police battling drink drivers RBT.
The UK pay TV net will get 51 half-hour episodes of the show, which originally broadcast on Australia’s Nine Network.
The deal is one of a number distributor Banijay International has secured. The vendor has sold more than 200 hours in total, including the recent 14x60mins French reboot of reality talent series Popstars, which went out on D8, to Belgian channel AB3.
Another Belgian net, RTBF, has acquired the 8x60mins Banijay Productions France series Dad Don’t Panic.
Elsewhere, broadcasters such as AB Group in France, TV4 in Sweden and Finland and Foxtel in Australia have renewed content deals for shows including 71 Degrees North, Police Ten 7 and Luxury Houses.
