Staff changes at Bake Off producer Love

Love Productions, the UK indie behind hit format The Great British Bake Off, has promoted several staff and hired a new executive from Jane Root’s Nutopia.

Kieran Smith is upped to creative director, factual programming, at the producer and will work with joint chief executives Richard McKerrow and Anna Beattie on new content for UK broadcasters. Smith has exec produced When Teenage Meets Old Age and Make Bradford British during his six years at Love.

Letty Kavanagh has been promoted to managing director from head of production after a five-year stint at Love. She has overseen all of Love’s recent productions including The Great British Bake Off.

Rupert Frisby has joined the producer from Nutopia as director of legal and commercial affairs.

In the US, Joey Allen becomes senior VP, Love Productions USA. BBC Worldwide distributes the Bake Off format everywhere except the US where Love cut its own deal for a local version of the show with broadcast network CBS.

Allen was previously VP of Production and an executive producer for Pangolin Pictures.
