Epix to coproduce stand up show with Comedy Central

US premium network Epix has unveiled new comedy specials premiere, including one coproduced with Comedy Central.

Among the titles is The Improv: 50 Years Behind the Brick Wall, a one-hour special event from the US’s IMPROV Comedy Club. It will feature acts such as Jim Carrey, Billy Crystal, and Larry David. Budd Friedman, Mark Lonow and Spotted Dog Entertainment executive produce the show.

Coproduction partner Comedy Central gets the second window after its fall premiere on Epix in the fall.

Also on the slate is Jim Breuer: And Laughter For All, which kicks off a series of stand up programmes in June. Sherri Shepherd, Tom Papa and Jim Norton also star in the specials.
