Armoza hatches Gran Plan in Europe
European broadcasters have ordered local versions of Armoza Formats’ comedy entertainment primetime series The Gran Plan.
Tel Aviv-based Armoza named Germany’s Prosiebensat.1, Ukraine’s 1+1 and Greece’s Alpha TV as among the buyers at MIPTV last week. Further agreements were secured with unnamed partners in Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, the UK, Ireland, France and Spain, and with Banijay International in Scandinavia.
The hour-long format comes from Jonathan Koniak and was produced by Artza Productions and Israeli net Channel 10.
It follows a trio of grandmothers that double as life coaches who force their young protégées to move on with life.
Avi Armoza, CEO, Armoza Formats, said the format seemed “to have filled a very big need in the market with its ability to better people’s lives through a combination of humor and emotion, offering real comfort and a touch of nostalgia in these challenging times around the world”.
