Moonscoop serves up Shaolin series

Moonscoop’s US arm and Australian prodco Wandering Eye Pictures are in Cannes with new ‘east meets west’ comedy toon Southside Shaolin.

Moonscoop US’s CEO Mike Young described the 52x11mins series as an “infectious, very relatable combination of high energy characters naviagting the social pressure of high school. It will follow the adventures of the 15 year-old granddaughter of a Shaolin master after she moves to a fictional Western city as part of a student exchange programme.

MIke Young, Moonscoop chairman Nicolas Atlan and Wandering Eye’s Mark Strong and Richard Lewis are executive producers.

Moonscoop is in Cannes shopping the show this week, along with Master Blasters, a new 26x22mins animated toon coproduced with Shemaroo Entertainment featuring Indian cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar.
