A+E ups Eddy Ruiz

A+E Networks Latin America has promoted Eddy Ruiz to president and general manager.

In this role, Ruiz will continue to be responsible for the A+E Networks Latin America joint venture’s networks, A&E, History and Bio, and will also oversee growth initiatives for A+E’s newer brands.

He will also oversee the expansion of the company’s Brazilian operations.

A+E Networks Latin America is a JV between A+E Television Networks and Ole Communications and reaches 40 million homes in the region.

Ruiz has been at A+E Networks Latin America for over a decade.

Before joining the company he was senior VP & general manager of HBO Latin America Advertising Services.
