A&E orders Rodeo Girls series from The Weinstein Company

US cable net A&E has ordered a reality series about female rodeo competitors from The Weinstein Company.

The show, Rodeo Girls, will go behind the scenes on the pro rodeo circuit.

A&E has ordered a full 8x1hr series and will announce the show at its TCA press presentation later today.

The show will sit alongside A&E’s other reality offerings, which include Duck Dynasty, Intervention and the Storage Wars franchise.

“We are thrilled to be working with The Weinstein Company on Rodeo Girls,” said David McKillop, executive VP of programming for A&E Network and BIO Channel. “The women of the competitive barrel racing world are formidable athletes living sensational lives and we are excited for our viewers to go along for the wild ride.”

The Weinstein Company, which makes reality series including Mob Wives, will produce the series alongside Jupiter Entertainment.
