Dori Media gameshow The Money Pump to be remade internationally
ITV Studios, the international production and distribution arm of the British commercial broadcaster, is to remake Israeli gameshow The Money Pump internationally after striking a deal with Dori Media.
The company acquired the format rights to the series, which is produced by Tanin Productions and Dori Media Darset.
It comes after the gameshow has already been sold into the USA, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Australia and Germany.
The hour long format sees contestants going head to head in front of a money pump, while they answer trivia questions.
Paul Buccieri, MD of ITV Studios International and president and CEO of ITV Studios America, said: “We are excited to be working with Dori Media on this game show format. “The Money Pump“ really complements our existing global portfolio and our local ITV Studios teams look forward to producing the show for their markets.”
Nadav Palti, President & CEO of Dori Media Group, added: “We are delighted that The Money Pump is attracting major studios such as ITV. The format’s originality and its high quality production have made it a big hit with its audiences. We expect it to be very popular with buyers at MIPCOM 2012 where it will also be exhibited by the Dori Media.”
