Nice Group rebrands reality production arm

Nordic production conglomerate Nice Group has rebranded its reality studio Limelight Film & TV as Rakett following the appointment of Andreas Hjerto earlier this year.

Hjerto joined the company from Rubicon TV in May and the move comes as part of a six month restructuring within Nice Group, which comprises of a number of production companies across the region including Monster, Moskito, Playroom, Baluba, Titan Television and Nice Drama.

Limelight was founded by Morten Skovdahl in 2000 and was previously majority owned by Titan until joining the Nice group in 2011. It produces reality series including Celebrity Babysitter and Charter Fever.

Hjerto said: “I’ve never been part of such a hungry creative team. We’re young, alternative and not scared of taking chances. We will continue to focus on strong, character-driven entertainment, reality and documentary series, but we also want to experiment with other genres. We have strengthened our development department and are looking forward to doing a lot of pitching in the third quarter of this year.”
