Crackle launches across Latin America
Sony-owned digital platform Crackle has launched in 17 countries across Latin America as part of its international roll out.
This follows the service’s launch in Brazil last month.
Crackle will launch a raft of free, ad-supported movies and television series in these Spanish speaking countries, including Mexico. Titles include Stealth, Hellboy, The Cable Guy, The Unusuals, Midnight Express, Hollow Man and Manhattan Murder Mystery.
“Internet and video consumption rates are on the rise in all of Latin America – in Mexico alone, more than 80% of all online users consume video content each month according to ComScore Video Metrix. Therefore, launching in the region was of great significance to Crackle,” said Jose Rivera Font, vice president and general manager, Crackle, Latin America.
The move means that Crackle is now available in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
