Shine dancing to MIP with new Lythgoe series
Nigel Lythgoe’s new dance series A Chance To Dance is heading to MIP TV after Shine International inked a distribution deal.
The series, which has been commissioned by US cable network Ovation, is a coproduction between Nigel Lythgoe Productions and Legacy Productions. It follows two former Royal Ballet dancers Michael Nunn and William Trevitt – known as The BalletBoyz – as they train a new American dance company.
Shine International will be launching the series at MIPTV in Cannes after Hayley Babcock, acquisitions, Americas, Shine International.
“We’re all incredibly excited to be representing this fantastic new show. Nigel and Simon Lythgoe are best in their field for creating world-class factual entertainment. The dance profession is an intensely dynamic, colorful and passionate world. The perfect ingredients for television,” said Noel Hedges, SVP and head of acquisitions.
