A+E Networks has inked new deals for series including Beyond Scared Straight, Dance Moms, Monster In-Laws, Pawn Stars and Storage Wars ahead of MIPTV.
Broadcasters including Box Channel (New Zealand), SF1/SF2 (Switzerland) and SBS (the Netherlands) have acquired Pawn Stars. Dance Moms, meanwhile, has been shopped to channels including Vijf (Belgium), SBS (Denmark) and TVN Style (Poland).
The sales arm of the US cable channel operator and programmer has also inked deals for Beyond Scared Straight, which has been sold to Spektrum (Czech Republic/Hungary), Sanoma (Finland) and Nippon TV (Japan).
Rounding off the pre-MIPTV deals, Storage Wars: Texas has been picked up OLN (Canada), Suomi TV (Finland) and SBS (the Netherlands) and Monster In-Laws by Sanoma (Finland), Gem TV (middle East) and TVN Style (Poland).
“We are fortunate to represent some of the most successful brands and top-rated series from the US,” said Sean Cohan, senior VP, international for A+E Networks. “Our programs’ compelling characters and emotional stories are appealing to international audiences.”
