Lionsgate hires HBO’s Ibba-Hartog
Lionsgate has hired HBO executive Roberta Ibba-Hartog as head of television across the UK and Eastern Europe.
The move will make Ibba-Hartog responsible for television sales for the company’s raft of TV series including Mad Men, Boss and Nail Files as well as its catalogue of movies, which includes The Hurt Locker and The Expendables as well as recent Ralph Fiennes-fronted feature Coriolanus and forthcoming thriller The Hunger Games.
Ibba-Hartog was previously VP, international distribution at HBO, where she covered Central and Eastern Europe, Korea and Japan. Before joining the premium broadcaster’s international division, she worked at Sony Pictures Television as director of sales covering the Nordic, Benelux and CEE regions.
“We are thrilled to have Roberta join the team at Lionsgate UK. She brings a broad range of experience and enthusiasm to this new post,” said Lionsgate UK COO Guy Avshalom.
