SevenOne picks up Louie Spence’s OWN reality series

German-based distributor SevenOne International has taken international rights to Louie Spence Dance Project, the upcoming reality series for OWN – The Oprah Winfrey Network.

The show will feature Spence, the choreographer and personality who shot to fame in UK reality series Pineapple Dance Studios, as he revamps a New York dance studio.

It is made by US production company Kinetic Content , which h is owned by Red Arrow Entertainment, in turn part of German broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1.

Kinetic is run by ex RDF USA boss Chris Coelen who said: “”Louie Spence is one of the most vivid characters we´ve ever seen. He´s incredibly funny and passionate, and his charisma leaps off the screen.”

The six-part series will launch on Discovery-backed US cable net OWN in early 2012.
