BBCWW closes NZ deals
BBC Worldwide has closed over 30 hours of deals with New Zealand broadcasters Prime, TVNZ and TV3.
The volume sales sees series including Human Planet, Upstairs Downstairs and Come Fly With Me sold down under.
Free-to-air commercial broadcaster Prime Television has picked up BBC / PBS coproduction Upstairs Downstairs, Left Bank Pictures’ one-off detective film DCI Banks, John Downer Productions’ wildlife doc Polar Spy – Spy in the Ice and eight part natural history series Human Planet, which was a coproduction between the BBC, Discovery and France Television.
Public broadcaster TVNZ has acquired eight hours of drama and comedy including four part drama Mad Dogs, which was produced by Left Bank for Sky, season six of Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Live & Laughing.
Meanwhile, TV3 has picked up the first season of Come Fly With Me, the latest comedy from Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
