CBS comedy series Mad Love sells to Canada, Australia and Lat-Am
US network comedy Mad Love has been sold to free-to-air broadcasters in Canada and Australia and to pay TV in Latin America. The half-hour comedy, which will air on CBS in the US and is produced and distributed by Sony Pictures Television, has been bought by CTV in Canada, Nine Network in Australia and Discovery Latin America.
CTV said it will air the show in its Monday night comedy slot starting February 14. It will be simulcast with the CBS airing.
The series is about a quartet of New York twenty-somethings – two of whom are falling in love. The lovers’ best friends, however, are far from in love and the show follows and derives laughs from the ups and downs of these intertwined relationships.
It features American Pie star Jason Biggs as the young guy falling in love. Tyler Labine is his best friend and Judy Greer replaced Lizzie Caplan as the girl starting out on a relationship with Biggs. Her best friend is played by Sarah Chalke.
