All3 Media update: Company, Objective & Maverick to launch in the US

All3Media CEO Steve Morrison has fleshed out plans to deepen the company’s presence in the US and said that Company Pictures,  Maverick Television and Objective Productions will set up stateside this year. He added that with the launches and creation of a new umbrella unit, provisionally titles All3Media USA, the company expects to double US revenues this year.

TBI broke the story about the new US division last week.

Speaking at NATPE, Morrison said that under the guidance of ex-BBC Worldwide exec Wayne Garvie, who has been hired as director of international production, the new US unit will oversee the flow of international content into the US and vice versa.

As well as Company, Maverick and Objective, Morrison added that North One could also open an office in the US.

Morrison backed MTV’s position that Skins connects with its target viewers. He also noted that the original UK version has already played without any furore on US cable – on the BBC America channel.
