FME inks deals in Asia ahead of ATF
International distributor FremantleMedia Enterprises has sold thousands of hours of programmes to broadcasters ahead of the Asia Television Forum, which starts in Singapore later this week.
Singaporean public broadcaster MediaCorp has acquired 400 hours of programming including The Martha Stewart Show, The Price Is Right, American Idol and China’s Got Talent.
Filipino broadcaster Creative Program also acquired 140 hours of The Martha Stewart Show, while rival network Solar Entertainment picked up 100 hours of gameshow The Price Is Right.
Cineplex (Thailand) acquired a package of 284 hours including Oliver Stone documentary The Untold History of the United States, March of the Dinosaur and Deadliest Warrior.
Meanwhile, Media Prima (Malaysia) acquired 40 hours of American Idol, She’s Got The Look and kids series My Babysitter is a Vampire and HTV (Vietnam) picked up 28 hours of Project Runway.
The deals were inked by Harayaty Rahman, director of sales for Asia, who joined FremantleMedia Enterprises at the start of the year.
