HBO Lat Am among the pre-buyers for Skins

HBO Latin America has inked a pan-regional deal for Company Pictures’ teen drama series Skins, TBIvision understands.

Ahead of the upcoming launch of the US MTV version of the show, a raft of other broadcasters have also picked up the latest season of the original UK version from distributor All3Media International.

The fifth season of the series is in post production in the UK and will debut in the UK on Channel  4’s digital channel E4.

Globosat in Brazil has picked up the fifth season, which has also been pre-sold to VTM (Belgium), TV Catalunya (Spain), SBS and Foxtel (Australia) and TV3’s C4 (New Zealand).

E4 has also ordered a 10x1hr sixth season of the show alongside the 8x1hr fifth run.

Louise Pedersen, managing director at All3Media International said: “International broadcasters were quick to tune in to the Skins phenomenon and we are delighted to see their enthusiasm continue to grow with these new deals.”
