Endemol ramps up kids expansion
Endemol is ramping up its moves into kids programming, inking a deal to distribute animated series Matt Hatter Chronicles.
The producer and distributor has taken international distribution rights for the 26x30mins series, which is produced by Platinum Films and Canada’s Gallus Entertainment.
It has subsequently sold the show to Nickelodeon in the UK and Australia as well as UK’s ITV, Canadian broadcaster Teletoon and Ireland’s RTE.
Endemol has also acquired international ancillary rights to the boy skewing adventure show, as part of its expansion into kids TV. This follows its acquisition of UK indie Tiger Aspect, which produces Charlie and Lola and Tinga Tinga Tales.
This comes as the company unveils its latest formats ahead of MIPCOM. It will be distributing The Money Drop, which is known as The Million Pound Drop in the UK, internationally for the first time, as well as interactive format Zoom, gameshoww Timeline and Stuck in a Gameshow.
