NBCU and StudioCanal renew programming deals

NBC Universal and StudioCanal have renewed two programming agreements.
 
Under the terms of the first agreement, NBCU’s program sales arm, NBC Universal International Television Distribution, will continue to sell StudioCanal’s movie titles to international broadcasters. The original agreement between NBCU and StudioCanal, the film division of French pay TV operator Canal Plus, stretches back to 2001.
 
A separate agreement between StudioCanal and Universal Pictures International sees the partners extend an international sales agreement for two more years and to continue their Universal StudioCanal Video GIE joint venture, which distributes home entertainment titles in France, until end-2013.
