History orders real-life superhero series
Cable channel History has ordered Stan Lee’s Superhumans. The factual series will follow real-life characters with amazing abilities.
The show will be fronted by Daniel Browning Smith, better known as Rubber Boy, the world’s most flexible human, who will be aided by comic book legend Stan Lee.
They will subject the superhumans to scientific tests and challenges and attempt to explain their amazing abilities. Four people will be profiled in each episode. Participants include The Human Calculator, Ultimate Warrior and Future man.
The UK-based production arm of Off the Fence is making the series.
“Stan Lee’s Superhumans is a fantastic new development for OTF Productions’ slate, moving us into a different genre of programming,” says Allison Bean, MD, Off The Fence Productions.
She added: “The series really taps into a topic that is endlessly popular – the notion of superheroes living among us.”
