Endemol making Man City feature

The sports division of Endemol is making a feature on Manchester City. Endemol Sport inked a deal with the English Premier League football club last August to produce a range of programming and Blue Moon Rising will track the 09/10 football season from the perspective of a group of Manchester City fans.

The season has been seminal in the history of the club as the first under the ownership of the cash-rich Sheikh Mansour and the Abu Dhabi Group Investment and Development company. Endemol says the film will have exclusive behind the scenes footage of the club’s new owners.

Endemol will handle TV and home entertainment distribution of the show and also theatrical, in association with Robert Mitchell, formerly the UK boss of Disney’s Buena Vista International.

Endemol launched Endemol Sports in 2008, poaching former IMG execs Gregg Oldfield and Lawrence Duffy to run the division.
