DRG shops trio of UK formats to the US
Distributor DRG has had three of its formats optioned by US indie producer 44 Blue including Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush, the UK gameshow that aired on Channel 4 in the 90s and was fronted by Chris Evans.
44 Blue will also pitch Keep it in the Family and Sink the Sale to US broadcasters. Keep it in the Family was originated by UK indie Twofour Broadcast and challenges people in high-flying jobs to return home to run the family business.
Sink the Sale is a new format from Renegade Productions, the UK indie that has a first-look deal with DRG. The show has house buyers and house sellers move into properties that are for sale as the prospective buyer chooses which house to go for.
DRG is already working with 44 Blue, having inked a first-look deal with the producer earlier this year. The LA-based company was set up by Rasha and Stephanie Drachkovitch, has produced series including Pit Bulls and Parolees for Animal Planet and US Navy Pirate Hunters for Spike TV.
It currently has two pilots in development for TruTV, which DRG has earmarked for international distribution.
