Five launches Shine-produced musical talent search
UK broadcaster Five has commissioned Shine to produce a shiny-floor entertainment show Don’t Stop Believing.
The format will see the RTL-owned free-to-air broadcaster search for musical groups to perform cover versions of well known songs. A supergroup of talent will separately compete in the glee club circuit in the United States.
It will be produced in association with advertising agency GroupM Entertainment and will be exec produced by Shine’s Karen Smith, who launched Strictly Come Dancing, GroupM’s Tony Moulsdale and Five’s Richard Woolfe and Donna Taberer.
Woolfe said: “This will be the first series to combine both singing and dancing to create an amazing entertainment spectacle.”
