Scripps inks distribution deal with Passion
Lifestyle channel operator Scripps Networks has inked a deal with Passion Distribution, which will sell its programming in international markets.
Specifically, UK-based Passion will sell shows from Food Network, HGTV and DIY Network.
It will have a slate of Scripps’ shows at MIP TV next month including The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Ace of Cakes and Man Caves.
It will also have the latest season of reality show HGTV’s Design Star, which was produced by Mark Burnett.
Scripps’ international boss Greg Moyer said it had farmed out programme sales so that it could concentrate on the international roll out of its channels.
He said: “[Passion] are well positioned to handle this important element of our business while our international team at Scripps Networks focuses on developing new network channel opportunities globally.”
