IMG to sell Tiger Aspect, Darlow Smithson

International producer and distributor IMG is set to sell its UK production companies Tiger Aspect and Darlow Smithson.

The company has hired investment bank The Raine Group to look at sale options.

Tiger Aspect produces drama and entertainment series including Robin Hood and Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as kids series such as Charlie and Lola and The Tinga Tinga Tales, while Darlow Smithson is a factual producer responsible for series including More4’s The Thriller in Manilla and Channel 4’s Miracle of the Hudson Plane Crash.

“Media, entertainment and sports merchant bank The Raine Group has been hired to explore strategic alternatives for Tiger Aspect and Darlow Smithson. The IMG-owned production companies and assessing various alternatives, including a potential sale.” the company noted.
