Hasbro poaches Fox, Sony, RDF and WME execs to run Hasbro Studios
Hasbro has recruited executives from several well-known broadcasters and producers to run its freshly minted Hasbro Studios division.
The US-based toy company has hired Bob Boden from Fox Reality Channel, Michael J. Vogel from Sony Pictures Television to run the animation division. Brian Charles Lenard from RDF USA will head up story development and Mary Beth Bambridge from William Morris Endeavour will run finance.
The new unit will create TV programming and other content based on Hasbro’s numerous brands. New TV shows will be created for board games Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Cranium as well as toy brands My Little Pony, G.I. Joe and Transformers.
In August Hasbro said it had recruited former Granada America boss Steven Davis to run the production studio. Hasbro announced in May that it is launching a joint venture kids channel in the US with Discovery. It will roll out next year.
