France’s PGS inks distribution deal with Samka
French distributor PGS Entertainment has closed a deal to distribute Samka Productions’ kids series and has inked a number of international sales.
The distributor, which was set up last year by Philippe Soutter, is to sell series including I.N.K : Invisible Network of Kids, Masupilami: Hooba Hooba Hop! and Jamie’s Tentacles.
PSG has picked up worldwide rights, exclusing Asia, for I.N.K : Invisible Network of Kids, which was produced for France 3. The series which follows a group of kids at Pinkerton, the coolest school on earth, as they try and save it from an evil monster teacher, has been sold to Super RTL (Germany), ABC (Australia), MTV3 (Finland) and RTBF (Belgium).
Masupilami: Hooba Hooba Hop!, which is a coproduction between Samka and Marsu Productions, was produced for German public broadcaster ZDF. The series follows WWF mascot Marsupilami through his jungle adventures. It has been sold to France Television and Disney Channels (France).
Meanwhile, 52x13mins Jamie’s Got Tentacles, which is currently in development, following Prince Jamie as he is kidnapped by the evil Blarbs. PGS Entertainment is currently looking for pre-financing for the series.
