Endemol launching Worldwide at MIPCOM

Producer and distributor Endemol will launch its new distribution division at MIPCOM and is opening several new offices in Europe and the US. Endemol Worldwide comprises what was previously Endemol International and Southern Star International and follows the US$50 million acquisition of Southern Star by Endemol in January.

Endemol said that it will open new sales offices in Paris, Madrid and Rome this year with Los Angeles and Miami HQs opening next year.

Claire Taltas, sales director for Benelux and French-speaking territories, will work out of the Paris office. Gisela Asimus-Minnbergh becomes sales director Spain, Portugal, Italy and Africa, working out of the Madrid office.

Endemol Worldwide will have a 20,000 hour catalogue and be managed by Cathy Payne, previously CEO of Southern Star International. She will be based in londion alongside Matt Creasey, executive sales director for the Americas, Asia, Australia and New Zealand and Veronique Verges, executive sales director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The company’s MIPCOM line-up has yet to be announced but will include new Jerry Seinfeld format The Marriage Ref.
