Sticky Pictures, Top Draw launch Mango Distribution
Australian kids indie producer Sticky Pictures and Philippines-based animation company Top Draw Animation have launched an international distribution company and have inked a number of deals for kids series.
The two companies have launched Mango Distribution, which will focus on selling kids and family series in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The company has already taken rights to a number of high profile properties including PBS Kids’ WordWorld and France 3’s Invisible Network of Kids.
The company has taken the Asian and Australasian rights to WordWorld, which is produced Don Moody and is distributed elsewhere by TV Loonland. It has sold the show to Playhouse Disney across the regions as well as to Korean free-to-air broadcaster EBS.
Meanwhile, it has sold Pearlie, an animated series produced by Canada’s Nelvana and Sticky Pictures, to Australian commercial broadcaster Network Ten, Nickelodeon (Australia) and Canada’s YTV.
Mango is also distributing Invisible Network of Kids (I.N.K), a 26x24mins action comedy series produced by Samka Production for France 3.
The company is run by Sticky Pictures’ Donna Andrews and Top Draw’s Wayne Dearing.
