ITV Global ships out Wuthering Heights
A raft of international broadcasters have acquired ITV Global Entertainment’s latest costume drama Wuthering Heights including Australian public broadcaster ABC and Sweden’s TV4.
The series, which was produced by ITV-backed Mammoth Screen and WGBH Boston, has also been picked up by Canada’s W Network, New Zealand’s TVNZ, Belgium’s VRT, Denmark’s TV2, Holland’s KRO, Cyrpus’ CYBC, Brazil’s TV Futura, Singapore’s Mio TV and Taiwan’s PTS.
The two 2x90mins costume drama based on the Emily Bronte novel stars Coronation Street’s Sarah Lancashire and Love Actually’s Andrew Lincoln.
The show, which was also backed by the Screen Yorkshire production fund, performed well for British commercial broadcaster ITV averaging a 19% share of the audience when it launched last month.
