2waytraffic sells Big Chain Reaction
2waytraffic has sold its latest entertainment format Big Chain Reaction to Swedish broadcaster Kanal 5 and Norwegian broadcaster TV Norge.
This follows the show’s successful debut in Germany and Holland.
The show centres around the linking of a series of events in one long chain without any breaks. Viewers watch everyday objects toppling over, flying, melting, boiling, vaporising and exploding.
Big Chain Reaction, which is known as Kipp Roll Fall in Germany, launched on commercial broadcaster ProSieben as a four hour live event with an 18% audience share, well above the channel’s average. In Sweden the show – known locally as Shownieuws – aired on SBS6 and ranked number one in its timeslot.
Sony Pictures Entertainment-owned producer and distributor 2waytraffic is selling the show internationally at Mipcom later this year.
