TLC acquires RDF’s shock docs
US cable network TLC has acquired a raft of documentaries from British distributor RDF Rights.
The Discovery-owned network has picked up three one hour features produced by Manchester-based UK indie Nine Lives Media, which was set up by former BBC exec Cat Lewis; The World’s Oldest Conjoined Twins, The World’s Strongest Toddler and Britain’s Tiniest Toddler.
All three shows were produced for British commercial broadcaster Five’s shock doc strand Extraordinary People. The World’s Oldest Conjoined Twins follows the lives of 57 year old twins Ronnie and Donnie Gaylon. The World’s Strongest Toddler details the life of Liam Hoekstra, a three year old American child with a genetic condition that allowed him to stand at one day old. Britain’s Tiniest Toddler, meanwhile , centres around four primordial dwarfs, whose condition means that their body stays small but proportionate.
