Tandem inks output deal with Romania’s Pro TV

Romanian broadcaster Pro TV has inked an exclusive free-to-air output deal with German TV movie and mini-series distributor Tandem Communications.

The deal will see the CME-owned broadcaster get series including two movies from its Patricia Cornwell franchise, as well as all Tandem movies and series for the next three years.

Pro TV, which also operates a raft of thematic channels in the country including Acasa TV, Pro Cinema, Pro TV International, Sport.ro and MTV Romania, will also air eight hour mini-series The Pillars of Earth, based on the Ken Follett bestseller, as well as series including Ring of the Nibelungs and Lost City Raiders.
