Beyond picks up MTV Networks shows
Beyond Distribution will handle international sales of several MTV Networks’ shows in time for MIPCOM. Specifically, Beyond has taken on distribution of a number of shows from MTV sister channel VH1 and its gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender channel Logo.
From VH1 the shows picked up include Sex – The Revolution, a four-part documentary series looking at the sexual revolution in the US. There is also The Cho Show, which follows US comedian Margaret Cho and her entourage.
From Logo there is Transamerican Love Story, a reality dating show in which eight bachelors compete for the attentions of transgender Calpernia Addams. There is also The Big Gay Sketch Show, a sketch show from a gay perspective,
Fiona Crago general manager, Beyond Distribution said the deal built on previous agreements with MTV: "The programming produced is not only of the highest quality but always guaranteed to be edgy, fresh and willing to push the boundaries – which is exactly the type of programming we love."
