All3Media buys Zoo

All3Media has acquired US producer Zoo Productions, producer of Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? for US network Fox and MTV’s Spring Break.

Privately-owned UK independent production and distribution group All3Media already owns several producers including Lion Television, Objective Productions and South Pacific Pictures, but the Zoo deal marks its first acquisition of a US indie production company.

All3Media CEO Steve Morrison said: “This adds a dynamic American flavour to ALL3MEDIA and helps cement the growth of our production companies in the US. Extending our presence in the US is one of our key goals and this acquisition complements wonderfully the business we already have in this important market.”

Zoo was established in 1994 and is run by Barry Poznick and John Stevens. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
