European producers take Village on a Diet options

All3Media International has agreed a raft of option deals for its factual entertainment series Village on a Diet.

Europrodocciones (Spain), Endemol (Belgium), NRK (Norway) and Eyeworks (Sweden) have all optioned the show and Danish broadcaster DR has greenlit an eight episode series.

The show, which follows a community as it collectively tries to lose weight and get fit, was created by Swiss producer Allcomm Productons for Switzerland’s SF Channel 1, where it generated a 27.4% average audience share.

UK independent production group and distributor All3Media subsequently acquired international rights to the format.
